Hello scrappy friends! Today I have the honor of showcasing the May double-page sketch from Stick It Down. This was such a fun sketch to work with! I hope you get the chance to play along!!
Here is the sketch we had to work with…
And here is what I came up with…
On our last trip to WDW we really took advantage of our Memory Maker and did lots of character meet and greets! This was our meeting with Sorcerer Mickey! So much fun!!

I can’t believe the school year is almost at an end. What’s worse…I can’t believe I am just now scrapping the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! But honestly, the fact that I am scrapping the first day of school in the SAME school year is actually progress for me, so I’ll take it!!
I used this sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap:
Because my photos were facing the other way, I flipped the sketch to place the photos on the bottom of the page, so they appeared to look “inward” rather than off the page. Picky…I know. But a pesky design thing that would have bugged me otherwise.
These pictures were taken of my son as he started his first day of 10th grade. I had taken the pictures from my van as he entered the school. He is not really into me taking “first day” pictures, so I do what I can! LOL Another fun fact about this layout…I have likely had many of the school supplies since he was in Kindergarten. The bus, crayon, patterned paper…all stash bashing!! I tried to use some of my newer supplies to add a fresh look to it.

The last time we went to Hollywood Studios, we were able to meet Starlord from Guardian’s of the Galaxy…and as a bonus…we saw Baby Groot!!! I was so excited for this because I love all things Baby Groot!!
I saw this sketch from Pinkfresh Studios April Challenge and knew I needed to use it for my picture.
If you know my scrappy style, I don’t often use 1 picture, but this picture sort of says it all, AND I didn’t get any others that I would consider good because I had to shoot it while I was in line for pictures with Starlord. LOL
I used some awesome paper and embellishments from Pinkfresh Studios. I have been using these awesome ephemera pack on so many things and it worked for this layout as well! I also cut circles from the “B” side of the paper! Because Baby Groot is an ornery little guy, I had to design this plug die cut to add to my layout using my Pazzle Invue! I love that I can turn random images into die cuts…and I would say an electrical plug was a bit random! LOL

I love the movie, Up. I also really love hot air balloons. Last year, I had a work event at Balloons Aloft – a local fair/balloon launch. It was really cool to see all the hot air balloons – especially as they launched them after dark. I knew I wanted to scrap my pictures I had taken – even though many of the pictures captured balloons that were really high in the air. I saw the challenge at Scrap Our Stash and knew I needed to use these pictures!
Here is the inspiration for the challenge: and here is what I came up with…
I used Crate paper and some older Fancy pants along with a balloon die cut I made with my Pazzles Invue. I added in some new embellishments I had gotten from Pink Fresh and combined them with some other random embellishments from my stash. I also included some chipboard clouds from Studio Calico.

If you live anywhere near me, you are likely VERY SICK OF SNOW and cold weather. Spring has decided to hide so I’m gunning for summer to just arrive. To get me in the mood, I decided to scrap some summer pictures. I’m feeling warmer already!
These pictures are of my son at the beach last year. Ironically, he is running out of the water because Lake Michigan was COLD that day! LOL
I used the jumpstart sketch from The ScrapRoom and some VERY OLD CherryArte paper (remember them??).
Here is the sketch:
Because I had several smaller action shots, I added more photos, but still kept the design. Here is what I came up with…

Hollywood Studios has changed so much from the first time we started going to Disney. When we went in 2014, it was the last time the Sorcerer’s Hat was up. I’m glad we got a chance to get one last picture of it before it was gone. I had these 2 pictures that I thought would make a good title page for that section of my album and that seemed to work great with Sketch #150 from Sketch N Scrap (turned sideways).
I was also able to dig into my stash and use up a bunch of scraps. The blue stars were the last piece of Sorcerer’s Hat paper I had been hoarding, which actually worked out perfectly since this is my last picture of the hat! I was also able to use up this film strip from Ranger as well as some Hollywood paper from Graphic 45.

It seems my son, Logan, has had a lot of concerts this past year so I am rather behind in getting them scrapped. It is rather bittersweet because this is his last year in band. And since he is a percussionist, he is typically all the way in the back, so I have a hard time getting a decent picture. I am not normally a “one picture” kinda gal, but when it comes to his concert band pictures…that’s about all I can hope for! So this sketch from Let’s Get Sketchy
worked really perfectly. And since the sketch had diamond shapes on it, the sketch worked well for the challenge at Scrap the Boys
So here is what I came up with…I dug into my stash and used an oldie but goodie from Sassafrass Lass as my base as well as some older Reminisce and mixed in some newer supplies to add a fresh look. I painted a spot for my journaling and mixed my handwriting with some letter stickers from Making Memories (I have SO MANY of these in my stash!!)

So I admit it, I have not yet seen Cars 3 – which for a Disney addict like myself, that’s sort of unspeakable. But we did get to meet Cruz Ramirez while we were recently at Hollywood Studios, so I guess I really need to watch the movie now.
I purchased Memory Maker on our last trip and we really took advantage of it. I am pretty sure we had pictures taken with every character in the park!! Traditionally, I have trouble scrapping these pictures, but I’ve actually had a pretty good time with it this time around. It’s a nice break from all the traditional ride pictures. When I saw this sketch from Stuck?! Sketches
I knew I had the perfect picture to go with this. I swapped out the doily for some traffic cones and used up the last bit of racing paper that I had and this is what I came up with…
I didn’t realize until I started this layout that I had tire track washi tape, but I was so glad I did!! Except for the white cardstock, this entire layout is made from scraps (Do you see the OLD Chatterbox paper??).
